The 2025/26 Academic Year wasn’t just another school year…

This year, at the High Performance Foundation, we started something more.

We started a movement to make mental strength a national priority.

We published the UK's first National Youth Mental Strength Report — creating, for the first time, an evidence-based definition of Mental Strength and a way to measure it. We convened almost 60 organisations from education, youth, business and research into the Mental Strength Alliance, all working towards one goal.

And we reached more young people in more classrooms than ever before.

Our end of school year review is a celebration of just some of the progress that has been made in making mental strength a national priority in the 2025/26 academic year…

The progress made this year reinforces the power of combining compelling stories, rigorous programme design, pioneering research and passionate sector leaders.

None of this would have been possible without the belief, generosity and commitment of our partners, schools, trusts, educators, researchers, volunteers and supporters.
